Another Great Food Swap!

We had a great turnout, our largest yet, at yesterday's 3rd Saturday Food Swap at City Folks Farm Shop in Clintonville. I came away with some amazing foods that I'm very eager to try.

My haul from the food swap!

Yesterday's food swappers brought:
  • Tomatoes and peppers
  • Corn meal
  • Jams
  • pickled beets
  • baked scones and breads
  • raw milk yogurt
  • peach butter
  • boneless chicken breasts
  • Krazy Kraut
  • noodles
  • tomato sauce
  • fresh herbs
  • cider vinegar
  • pasta sauce
  • pickled peppers
  • hot sauce
  • homemade brandy and liquors
  • pumpkin
  • vanilla sugar
  • canned pears
  • sauerkraut
  • lemon verbena syrup
  • and more!
We had a few farmers and farmer's market vendors come to the swap with their wares. The boneless chickens breasts, Krazy Kraut and fresh produce were a hit.

A beautiful array of fresh veggies

A selection of various homemade canned goods

 Homemade noodles with samples

 Yummy baked goods!

Home-ground cornmeal, cider vinegar, brandies and raspberry mint liquor

Bulk Krazy Kraut. It made the whole shop smell of cabbage goodness

 Fresh tomatoes and peppers

Our next food swap will be Saturday, November 16 gathering at 12 noon at City Folks Farm Shop in Clintonville. Swapping begins at 1. See you there!
